Srinagar: The annual Amarnath Yatra has crossed a major milestone, with more than 4 lakh pilgrims having paid obeisance at the holy cave shrine of Lord Shiva in the Himalayas.
Taking to social media platform X, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha hailed the moment as a divine blessing and extended his heartfelt thanks to devotees, officials, and all stakeholders involved in ensuring the smooth conduct of the Yatra.
“Baba Amarnath makes the impossible possible. With his blessings, the Holy Yatra today crossed the figure of 4 Lakh. I bow to Lord Shiva for this miracle and express my gratitude to everyone involved in making the holy pilgrimage a divine experience for devotees,” the LG said.
He further added that the record number of darshans and the arrival of pilgrims from across India and abroad symbolize the country’s unity and the collective spiritual strength of its people.
Calling it an incomparable journey of bliss, LG Sinha remarked, “This godly expedition is unique not just because it is arduous and challenging, but because it is a soul-enriching journey that strengthens trust, gratitude, and self-realization.”
The annual pilgrimage not only symbolizes deep spiritual devotion but also showcases Kashmir’s rich religious heritage and cultural unity.
The 38-day annual pilgrimage is scheduled to conclude on August 9.
