Realmuto added a solo home run in the eighth as the Phillies rebounded from losing the first two games at home. Game 4 in the best-of-five series will take place Thursday in Los Angeles. Tommy Edman homered for the Dodgers, while Shohei Ohtani went 0-for-5, extending his struggles in the series to one hit in 14 at-bats with seven strikeouts. The loss marked the Dodgers' first in five postseason games. Schwarber tied the game at 1-1 with his first home run of the night off Dodgers starter Yoshinobu Yamamoto  in the fourth inning. Bryce Harper scored on an Alec Bohm single and throwing error by center fielder Andy Pages, and Bohm came home on a Brandon Marsh sacrifice fly to make it 3-1. The Phillies broke open the game in the eighth inning, scoring five runs off veteran left-hander Clayton Kershaw, who is set to retire after the postseason. Realmuto led off the inning with a home run, followed by Schwarber's two-run shot and a two-run single from Trea Turner. Kershaw allowed five runs (four earned) over two innings, walking three. Suarez settled down after giving up Edman's home run on his first pitch, finishing with one run allowed on five hits and four strikeouts over five innings. Edman added an RBI single in the ninth for the Dodgers before Ohtani flew out to end the game.
