MUMBAI, Oct 27 (Reuters) – STOCKS: The benchmark BSE Sensex gained 0.5% to 84,684, while the broader NSE Nifty 50 rose 0.6% to 25,937, as upbeat risk appetite on positive cues from U.S.-China trade talks boosted regional equities. RUPEE: The Indian rupee declined 0.1% to 87.9675 versus the U.S. dollar, weighed down by persistent dollar demand from local corporates, with traders expecting the Reserve Bank of India's market interventions to limit losses. GOVERNMENT BONDS: The benchmark 10-year bond was quoted at 98.4975 rupees, with the yield up 1 bp at 6.5443%, as traders remain focussed on U.S.-India trade negotiations wherein a positive outcome could dent local rate cut wagers. OVERNIGHT INDEX SWAPS: The one-year overnight index swap rate was flat at 5.4575%, while the five-year swap rate was little changed at 5.665%. CALL MONEY: India's overnight call money rate was at 5.65%, and the overnight TREPS rate was at 5.52% (Reporting by Jaspreet Kalra; Editing by Sumana Nandy)
