SRINAGAR: Following the recent blast near Delhi’s Red Fort on November 10, security forces have ramped up operations across Jammu and Kashmir, placing the region at the heart of an expanding investigation. A series of raids, preventive detentions and intelligence-led actions are underway to trace suspected terror-linked networks, with a growing focus on professionals believed to be part of a “white-collar terror module”.

Security sources say this module includes individuals from privileged and educated backgrounds, particularly from the medical sector, who are suspected of providing indirect support to militant outfits. These support systems, they say, are instrumental in logistics, recruitment and ideological push without being directly involved in violent acts.

Fresh raids have been conducted across multiple hospitals in North and South Kashmir. Storage areas and staff lockers are being searched with the help of local police and central security forces. This comes after several doctors from Pulwama were earlier arrested for alleged links to the busted module, causing concern in professional circles.

According to officials, a number of individuals from both the medical and academic communities have been detained for questioning. Investigators are now working to uncover the wider network possibly linked to the planning or facilitation of the Delhi blast.

Security agencies have stepped up surveillance and placed critical infrastructure across the Valley on alert. Sources suggest more operations are expected in the coming days. Authorities have urged public and private institutions to remain vigilant and cooperate fully with ongoing investigations to prevent any further threat to public safety.
