PANCHKULA: The District Public Relations and Grievance Redressal Committee meeting was held on Saturday in Panchkula, focusing on the swift and transparent resolution of public complaints. The meeting was chaired by Haryana Cabinet Minister Vipul Goyal, who reviewed grievances in detail and issued clear instructions to concerned departments for effective and time-bound redressal.
Member of Parliament Kartikeya Sharma and BJP MLA from Kalka, Shakti Rani Sharma, were present during the proceedings. A range of civic and administrative issues raised by citizens were taken up, with officials directed to ensure accountability and visible outcomes on the ground.
Addressing the media after the meeting, MP Kartikeya Sharma said the primary objective of the committee was to provide a responsive platform for citizens. He stated that each complaint was examined seriously and that Cabinet Minister Vipul Goyal issued firm directions to departments to act promptly. “The government’s priority is administrative accountability. Grievances must not remain on paper, their resolution should be evident at the grassroots,” Sharma said.
On the occasion, the MP also spoke about the recent Panchkula visit of Union Home Minister Amit Shah. He said that visits by the country’s top leadership were not routine formalities but carried significant importance. “Such visits inspire confidence, energize the administration, and are a matter of pride for the district. They strengthen the resolve for development and reassure citizens about the government’s commitment,” he added.
Sharma further expressed deep concern over a recent incident in Bangladesh in which a Hindu youth was allegedly burnt alive. Terming the incident “extremely condemnable and inhuman,” he said such acts were unacceptable in any civilised society and must be unequivocally denounced.
The MP also congratulated the people of Haryana on Hansi being declared the state’s 23rd district. He described the move as an important administrative decision that would accelerate regional development. According to him, district status would improve governance efficiency, bring public services closer to people, and create new opportunities for growth. The meeting concluded with officials reiterating their commitment to implementing the directions issued and ensuring that public grievances are addressed within stipulated timelines.
