Begum Khaleda Zia, the first woman to lead Bangladesh as prime minister died on Tuesday at age of 80 at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka around 6 AM. She was born on 15 August 1945, she came in politics after her husband Ziaur Rahman, a former president was assassinated in 1981. She became chairperson of the BNP in 1984 and later served as prime minister twice.
