Vivo is expectedly to launch its latest Y series smartphone, the Vivo Y500i, in China on January 16, 2026, packing a large battery and capable hardware at an affordable price.

The handset targets users who want long battery life, solid everyday performance, and useful features without breaking the bank. It goes on sale soon in multiple colours and configurations, offering strong value in the budget segment.

The Vivo Y500i is expected to launch in China on January 16, 2026. The Vivo Y500i official launch date in India has not yet been announced. However, leaks and industry reports suggest the phone could arrive in India around May 2026.

This timeline lines up with Vivo’s typical pattern of bringing new Y-series models to the Indian market several months after their China debut. The company has not confirmed an exact date yet, but anticipation is growing among fans ahead of a possible mid-year launch window.

Powering the Vivo Y500i is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, paired with up to 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage. The chipset uses efficient cores for everyday tasks like social media, browsing, and video streaming.

The highlight of the Y500i is its 7,200 mAh battery, which promises extended usage times on a single charge. The phone supports 44 W wired fast charging, helping users top up the large battery more quickly than typical budget devices.
