In the conversation, Sarabjit appeals to her ex-husband, explaining that she is forced to remain in Pakistan against her will.

“Please help me, as I have been harassed and blackmailed to stay back. I didn’t have a single penny with me,” she says in the audio clip. Sarbjit Kaur, who travelled to Pakistan on Sikh pilgrimage, converted to Islam, married Nasir Hussain, now regrets it.

Family Claims Sarabjit Kaur Was Forced to Stay in Pakistan

According to senior officials, Sarabjit’s family is now claiming that she originally went to Pakistan to retrieve certain photographs from Nasir Hussain, a man reportedly involved in the case.

“The entire matter is being investigated by the central agencies. The family completely maintained silence ever since the incident came to light, but now, the family has been claiming that she is forced to stay in Pakistan as Hussain blackmailed her and other family members by showing her explicit photographs,” an official said.

Sarabjit’s deportation to India has been temporarily put on hold due to ongoing legal proceedings. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances, including allegations of harassment and blackmail.
