New Delhi: Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to visit Indore in Madhya Pradesh on Friday to meet the families of the victims of water contamination.

According to a Congress, Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to travel to Indore in Saturday.

Rahul Gandhi will first arrive at Bombay hospital at 11.15 a.m. where many of the victims of contaminated water are still receiving treatment.

Then at 12:15 noon, the former Congress chief will be meeting with the affected families of the Indore water contamination tragedy in Bhagirathpura locality.

According to sources, the Lok Sabha MP from Uttar Pradesh’s Rae Bareli will meet families of 13 people killed allegedly due to water contamination in Bhagirathpura in Indore to gather ‘first-hand information’ on the issue.

He is scheduled to interact with the elected representatives of Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) on the water contamination issue in the city.

The Congress has criticised the BJP led government in the state where several people died to consumption of contaminated water.
