Filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga has officially announced the release date of his next film Spirit, which stars Prabhas and Triptii Dimri in lead roles. The movie is scheduled to arrive in theatres on March 5, 2027, Vanga confirmed on Friday.
First-time pairing of Prabhas and Triptii Dimri in Spirit
Spirit brings together Prabhas and Triptii Dimri for the first time on screen. For Triptii, this project marks her second collaboration with Sandeep Reddy Vanga, producer Bhushan Kumar, and Pranay Reddy Vanga, following her role in the 2023 blockbuster Animal.
Spirit Teaser reveals Prabhas in a powerful role
The makers released a teaser of Spirit on October 23, 2025, coinciding with Prabhas’s 46th birthday. The short video gave audiences a glimpse of Prabhas as a former IPS officer who ends up in jail. The teaser also introduced veteran actor Prakash Raj as a strict jailer overseeing him, setting a dark and intense tone for the film.
Spirit Cast details and striking first poster
Triptii Dimri will be seen as Prabhas’s love interest in the film. The cast also includes Kanchana and Vivek Oberoi in key roles.
Earlier this month, the film’s first poster caught attention online. It shows Triptii lighting a cigarette placed between Prabhas’s lips as he faces away from the camera. His back appears bruised and scarred, with visible wounds and bandages, adding to the gritty and raw look of the character.

Spirit is being produced by T-Series and Bhadrakali Pictures. During promotions for Animal, Vanga had shared that the lead character in Spirit comes from a middle-class background, unlike his previous films Arjun Reddy and Animal, where the protagonists belonged to wealthy families.
With its intense visuals, strong performances, and Vanga’s signature storytelling, Spirit is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated films of 2027.
