The administration of US President Donald Trump has announced a new initiative to support Gaza following two years of conflict between Israel and Hamas. The plan, backed by the United Nations, aims to demilitarize the region and rebuild its infrastructure, governance, and economy. To oversee this effort, the US has invited political leaders, diplomats, and business figures from around the world to join a “Board of Peace.”

What is Board of Peace?

The White House outlined that the initiative consists of three interconnected bodies:

  2. A Palestinian Technocratic Committee, responsible for day-to-day administration and public services in Gaza.

  3. The Gaza Executive Board, which will provide advisory and support functions for governance and service delivery.
