A relationship that began inside a prison has now turned into marriage after two life-term prisoners, Priya Seth and Hanuman Prasad alias Jack, were granted parole by order of the Rajasthan High Court.

They received 15 days of parole starting Wednesday. The District Parole Advisory Committee approved their request following the High Court’s directions. Their wedding is being held at Hanuman Prasad’s ancestral home in Barodamev village, Alwar district.

How the Relationship Began Inside Sanganer Open Jail

Reportedly, the couple met at Sanganer Open Jail in Jaipur. About a year ago, both were shifted there from Jaipur Central Jail under the Rajasthan Prisoners Open Air Camp Rules, 1972.

Open jails give selected prisoners more freedom than regular prisons. Inmates can work, meet family members, and live in a less strict environment. It was here that Priya and Hanuman came into contact and slowly developed a close bond.

Over time, their relationship grew stronger. Reports say they lived together inside the open jail for several months, similar to a live-in arrangement. In November 2025, they decided to formalise their relationship and informed their families. Wedding cards were printed, and they applied for parole in December.

On January 7, the Rajasthan High Court directed the District Parole Advisory Committee to decide on their plea within seven days. Advocate Vishram Prajapati represented them. The committee then approved 15 days of parole for the wedding ceremonies. Both must return to prison after the parole ends.

Priya Seth Murder Case Details

Priya Seth, 34, is the main accused in the 2018 murder of Dushyant Sharma in Jaipur. A district court sentenced her to life imprisonment in November 2023.

Police said Priya met Dushyant through the dating app Tinder. On May 2, 2018, she allegedly called him to a flat in Bajaj Nagar, where her then live-in partner Dikshant Kamra and associate Lakshya Walia were present.

The trio allegedly kidnapped Dushyant and demanded Rs 10 lakh ransom from his father, who transferred Rs 3 lakh. Police said they strangled Dushyant, damaged his face to hide his identity, and left his body in a suitcase in the hills of Amer. Investigators claimed Priya targeted wealthy men through dating apps to extort money for her lifestyle and debts. Dikshant Kamra is also serving a life sentence.

Hanuman Prasad Alwar Murder Case

Hanuman Prasad, 29, is convicted in a brutal Alwar murder case from October 2017. Five members of a family were killed in one night in Shivaji Park area. The victims were Banwari Lal Sharma, his three sons, and a nephew.

Hanuman was reportedly in a relationship with Santosh Sharma, Banwari Lal’s wife and a taekwondo coach. According to the prosecution, this relationship led to suspicion within the family. Police said Santosh and Hanuman planned the murders together. In March 2023, a court sentenced both to life imprisonment. Police recovered the murder weapon, blood-stained clothes, and other evidence.

Both convicts have now ended ties with their former partners.

Wedding Ceremony Details in Alwar

As per the wedding invitation, the three-day ceremony started with rituals on January 21, followed by the chakh bhat ceremony on January 22. The groom’s procession is scheduled for Friday afternoon. A reception and community feast will be held in the evening at Hauli Chowk in Barodamev village.

After the 15-day parole period ends, both Priya Seth and Hanuman Prasad will return to prison.
