Speaking to Complex, Kim explained that despite their separation, their shared past and children continue to connect them. “We’ll always be family,” she said while addressing her recent shoutout to Kanye’s designs. Emphasising that their priority remains their children, she added, “We both know that. We will be okay, and there’s so much love for our family. We want what’s best for our kids.”

Kim also opened up about why she felt compelled to praise her former husband’s work. She admitted that the Yeezy heel she wore genuinely stood out to her. “I couldn’t deny the Yeezy heel, so I had to shout it out,” she explained.
In early January, Kim shared a TikTok video in which she was seen wearing Yeezy heels during a trip to Aspen. She highlighted the craftsmanship and design, giving credit to Kanye. In the clip, she said, “Then I put it with these Yeezy boots. I will say, there’s nothing like a Yeezy heel. I don’t know if they ever made these or just made them for me. I love when a shoe is tonal to the pant.” The moment quickly went viral, as fans were surprised to see Kim publicly acknowledge Kanye, given how limited their public interactions have been since their split.
Her comments followed shortly after Kanye issued a public apology through a full-page newspaper advertisement. In the ad, he described his past behaviour as reckless and harmful, admitting that his words and actions had caused pain to people close to him and to the public.
