The Seattle Seahawks are the champions of Super Bowl LX, defeating the New England Patriots 29-13 on Sunday night at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. This win gives Seattle its second Super Bowl title in franchise history and came through strong defence and smart play throughout the game.

From the very start, the Seahawks controlled the game. Seattle’s defence put constant pressure on the Patriots’ offence, quickly stopping New England from gaining momentum. The Patriots, who were hoping to win their seventh Super Bowl, were unable to find rhythm and were outplayed in almost every quarter. Seattle’s defence, nicknamed the “Dark Side”, was a major reason for their victory. They sacked Patriots quarterback Drake Maye six times, forced turnovers, and made it difficult for New England to move the ball. This unit set the tone early and kept the Patriots’ offence on the back foot.

On offence, the Seahawks leaned on a balanced approach with both running and field goals making the difference. Running back Kenneth Walker III had an excellent game, rushing for 135 yards on 27 carries. His strong performance earned him the Super Bowl MVP award, making him the first running back to win MVP since 1998.  approach with both running and field goals making the difference. His strong performance earned him the Super Bowl MVP award, making him the first running back to win MVP since 1998.  Seattle’s kicker Jason Myers also played a key role. He set a Super Bowl record by making five field goals, giving Seattle steady scoring when touchdowns were hard to come by. These field goals helped build and maintain a lead that New England could never overcome.

In the third quarter, a forced fumble by Seattle gave them a chance to score a touchdown. Quarterback Sam Darnold capitalised on that opportunity with a scoring pass to AJ Barner, extending Seattle’s advantage and increasing the pressure on the Patriots.

Despite a late effort from New England, their comeback was too little, too late. The Patriots managed to score in the fourth quarter, but Seattle’s defence and key plays had already secured the victory. Overall, the Seahawks delivered a strong team performance on the biggest stage, earning a dominant 29-13 win and lifting the Lombardi Trophy once again, much to the delight of their fans.
