IND vs PAK, T20 World Cup 2026: Ishan Kishan Played An Outstanding Knock Against Pakistan
Ishan Kishan walked out to open the innings for the Indian cricket team along with Abhishek Sharma. Both the openers were expected to take the game away with their explosive batting; however, to everyone’s disappointment, Abhishek Sharma, who is known for his power-batting, failed to make it big on the occasion and was dismissed for a four-ball duck. This was his second consecutive duck in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2026 tournament.
However, Ishan Kishan didn’t let the pressure get to his hand as he made full use of the opportunity and slammed the Pakistani bowlers to all the corners of the R Premadasa Cricket Stadium in Colombo. He displayed his powerful range of shots and slammed the talented Pakistani bowlers left, right, and center.
Ishan recorded the third-highest T20I score by an Indian against the Pakistan cricket team as he amassed 77 runs off 40 balls, smashing 10 fours and 3 sixes, to give a strong kickstart to the Indian cricket team.
Ishan started his knock with a stunning six against the speedster Shaheen Shah Afridi, and soon he took apart the spinners of Pakistan.
