Accused Movie OTT Release Date; When & Where To Watch Live Streaming

The film is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on February 27, promising a gripping and thought-provoking watch that explores accusation, power, and emotional resilience.

Accused trailer Released: About The Movie

In the film, Konkona Sen Sharma acts as Dr. Geetika, a respected and liked gynecologist. Her professional and personal life gradually unravels after she is accused of sexual harassment at her office. At the time when the case is filed, Geetika is already planning to adopt a child with her live-in partner Meera, who is acted by Pratibha Ranta.

The case is anonymous, and even though Meera is not entirely shocked since Geetika has been accused of the same charges in the past, this time it is much more serious. Geetika explains that this time she is being accused of being a sexual predator, which is a serious danger to all that she has accomplished in the last years.

The trailer highlights how the accusation causes public attention and emotional distress. Geetika is shown helplessly watching her professional life fall apart, a life that she had worked so hard to accomplish “brick by brick.” As the events escalate, the tension also begins to affect her relationship with Meera, causing uncertainty, fear, and emotional distance between the two.

.The movie showcases how quickly public opinion can overrule facts and how accusations, even if they are not proved, can have a significant impact on personal relationships and mental health.

What the Makers Say About Accused Film

Talking about their experience with the movie, the team said, “Accused is the kind of storytelling that stays with you because it never feels the need to unpack complex human actions and dilemmas into simple terms.

Anubhuti has created a very complex film that places women at the forefront of a kind of storytelling that we hardly ever get to tell, where the power dynamics of perception and belief are in a state of perpetual flux.

With Konkona and Pratibha leading the way in this film, we are looking at a relationship that is propelled not only by an accusation but by a state of doubt itself.

It is a film that is told with a great deal of restraint, empathy, and a lot of courage, and we are very proud to be bringing it to Netflix, which has been very supportive of the film’s intent of sparking conversations rather than judgments.”

Accused Movie Details
