EBFC had a wonderful opportunity to extend the lead through Nandhakumar, but the Tamil winger failed to capitalise from inside the box. Even SC Delhi had a chance to reduce the deficit but they also failed to finish from close range.

But the hosts hit back in style with a long-range shot from Edmund four minutes later.
