In front of his home crowd in Atlanta, Georgia, recently retired AJ Styles received an emotional farewell. Styles was at the centre of the limelight as he became the latest inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame. The two-time WWE Champion joined Stephanie McMahon and became the second wrestler to be inducted into the class of 2026.
Both Stephanie and Styles received the news of their induction from all-time legend, The Undertaker. RAW on 23rd February was set up as a tribute to Styles, who retired last month at the Royal Rumble, succumbing to a loss against Gunther. The opening segment involved Michael Cole and Corey Graves celebrating the achievements of the 48-year-old. The segment was interrupted by Gunther, who was later attacked by Styles’ former tag-team partner, Dragon Lee.
Styles returns to the ring
WWE superstars from Styles’ past made appearances on the show, which led to him making a return to the ring. The entire RAW locker room, too, made it to the entrance ramp to acknowledge Styles. While thanking the fans, the latest inductee to the Hall of Fame explained why he did not leave his gloves in the ring after losing at the Royal Rumble. He explained that he wanted to leave his gloves “at home”. The tribute for Styles at Georgia was announced on last week’s Monday Night RAW.

The Undertaker made a surprise return to WWE RAW and made his way to the ring in his trademark ‘American Badass’ style. He surprised Styles and told him that the 48-year-old is the latest inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame. The night ended with the hometown hero being provided an emotional send-off.
