The countdown’s on for the biggest sporting event ever, the FIFA World Cup 2026. The U.S., Canada, and Mexico are teaming up to host, with 48 teams set to battle it out in 104 matches across 16 legendary cities. After more than 500 million people tried their luck in the ticket lottery, FIFA just launched a high-stakes, 48-hour ticket sale for the lucky few who made the cut.

With the opening match kicking off June 11 at Estadio Azteca between Mexico and South Africa and the final set for July 19 at MetLife Stadium, fans are scrambling. Ticket prices are climbing fast, and seating choices are more organised than ever. Everyone wants in, and it’s turning into a real race to grab a spot.

FIFA World Cup 2026 Host Cities And Venue Capacities

Mobile Ticket Delivery And Stadium Entry Requirements

For the 2026 FIFA World Cup, everything’s going digital. No more paper tickets, and don’t expect a PDF in your inbox either. Closer to the tournament, probably around May 2026, fans can get their tickets straight through the official FIFA World Cup 2026 App.

On game day, you’ll need to show the live QR code inside the app to get into the stadium. Forget about screenshots or printouts. Every ticket holder has to have their own FIFA account, connected to their phone, to make sure getting through security is quick and easy.
