Ikkis OTT Release: What is the Plot of the movie?
Following the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, Ikkis has a dual narrative. The narrative moves between two timelines, from 1971 during the India–Pakistan War featuring the martyr, to three decades later, featuring a visit to Pakistan by his father, Brigadier Madan Lal Khetarpal.
The story begins in 1971 at a training camp in Ahmednagar, where fellow officers celebrate Arun’s 21st birthday before training is abruptly cancelled due to rising border tensions. As war looms, the film traces Arun’s journey, from his early days as a spirited young officer to his deployment as a tank commander when hostilities formally begin. Amid the chaos of war, Arun leads his tank squadron into battle and fights against more than a dozen tanks before sustaining fatal injuries.
Parallelly, the narrative shifts to 2001 in Lahore, where Brigadier Jaan Mohammed Nisar prepares to receive the fallen hero’s father Madan Lal Khetarpal during a college reunion visit. The emotional arc culminates in the father visiting the site where his son fell in battle.
Ikkis OTT Release: Why Should You Watch?
If you enjoy war biopic films with a unique narrative, Ikkis could be right up your alley. The film places Agastya Nanda at the center of a gritty war, beyond which there lies a deeply personal story of youth, courage, love, and sacrifice. For Dharmendra fans, this film is the last one to feature the legendary star before his demise. Anchored by strong performances, it delivers both patriotic scale and intimate drama.
