In a collaboration with the their Muslim Supporters Club, 13-time Premier League winners Manchester United hosted a fan Iftar at Old Trafford. A charity auction also took place to support a Ramadan fundraising campaign as Manchester United’s official X handle shared a video of the same on the social media platform.
Manchester United’s CEO joins fan Iftar for a special evening
The Iftar evening began with Manchester United CEO Collette Roche, who introduced Asif Mahmud, the chairperson at Muslim Supporters Club Manchester United (MUMSC), while it all concluded with the recitation of Quran. A Sheikh from Cheadle Mosque also made an appearance by holding a spiritual talk as it highlighted the significance of Ramadan. After some additional prayers, those present broke their fast by consuming dates, sweet cones and croffles. Before the charity auction kickstarted, the attendees also enjoyed a delectable Halal Buffet and celebrated Ramadan together.
Noussair Mazraoui, touted as one of the best signing by the Club in recent years, opined that it means a lot to have Iftar organized by the club and is proud to be part of this community.

Asif Mahmud, the chairman of Muslim Supporters Club, stated that the hosting of Iftar is a sign of Manchester United’s inclusivity and bringing people of all walks of life together.
“Hosting Iftar at Old Trafford is incredibly meaningful for Muslim supporters. It sends a powerful message that Manchester United is a club where everyone belongs. Ramadan is a time of reflection, gratitude and community, and to break our fast together at the Theatre of Dreams is something many of us never imagined growing up. We’re proud to work with the club to create moments like this that strengthen understanding and bring people together.”
Manchester United are currently 4th in the Premier League 2025-26 table.
