The Lakers put on a show Sunday night at Crypto.com Arena, taking down the Kings 128-104. After beating the Warriors the night before, they rolled into this game with confidence and never let up. From the first basket, they set the tone, but Sacramento couldn’t keep up. Luka Doncic dropped 28 points, LeBron chipped in 24, and the outcome never felt in doubt. The starters got to watch the whole fourth quarter from the bench, which says a lot about how one-sided this one was. Top to bottom, the Lakers looked sharp and deep, exactly what you want to see as the season gets serious.

Luka And LeBron Masterclass: Lakers Take Early Control

Right away, the Lakers made it clear they meant business, building a 22-point edge before halftime. Not surprisingly, Luka Doncic kept pouring in points, topping out at 28 with 9 assists, all done by the end of the third quarter. Even at 41, LeBron James moved like someone much younger, adding 24 points and nearly matching Doncic with his own 9 assists.

Twice he soared for powerful dunks, each one shaking the arena louder than the last. Together, they looked seamless, as if reading every move before it happened.

Out on the edge, Los Angeles found its rhythm fast. Hitting 17 of their initial 33 threes, they brushed close to a club milestone, ending at 18 for 39, which is 46.2 per cent.

Three from Smart, three from Kennard opened lanes so Doncic and James could move freely inside. On the stop end, Ayton held firm, untouched through six tries, tallying 12 points cleanly off 6, of 6, pulling down 10 boards along the way.
