Belarusian Tennis star Aryna Sabalenka announced her engagement to her longtime boyfriend Georgios Frangulis as she shared a video of the same on her official Instagram account on March 4, Wednesday. In an adorable video shared on the social media platform, Frangulis was seen getting down to his knee to give Sabalenka the ring as the latter flaunted it beautifully. The song which was used in the video was ‘There is something on your mind’ by Big Jay McNeely.
Who is Georgios Frangulis?
As far as Frangulis’ background goes, he was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He studied law but revealed to Forbes Brazil in July 2023 that he knew he didn’t want to be a lawyer forever. Frangulis went on to become the founder of Oakberry in December 2016, a superfood brand that specialises in açaí products. The brand gained plenty of traction for its açaí bowls and smoothies. It also witnessed rapid expansion with over 700 stores across more than 40 nations. According to the People’s Magazine, Sabalenka became Oakberry’s brand ambassador in January 2024. The People’s Magazine reported that Frangulis is a motorsports enthusiast too and finished 128 races of the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge.

The 27-year-old is also a highly accomplished Tennis player, having won the Australian Open twice and US Open twice. Her latest Grand Slam win came in 2025 when she defeated Amanda Anisimova in a rematch of the Wimbledon semi-final. Sabalenka beat Anisimova in straight sets to win the title.
In the process, Sabalenka also became the first singles player to successfully defend her US Open title since Serena Williams won the 2014 edition.
