Belarusian Tennis star Aryna Sabalenka was seen flaunting her engagement ring during what was seemingly a practice session ahead of her Indian Wells Open fixture against Japan’s Himeno Sakatsume. In a video shared on social media, Sabalenka stylishly showed off her ring, a day after her boyfriend Georgios Frengulis proposed her as the 27-year-old shared a clip on her official Instagram account.

Having dated for almost two years after getting engaged, Frengulis, an entrepreneur from Brazil, porposed to Sabalenka in adorable fashion. Frangulis got down on one knee to propose to her and Sabalenka accepted it immediately. Sabalenka, who had flaunted the ring in the video shared on Instagram, did the same adorable fashion yet again.

As far as Frangulis’ background goes, he was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He studied law but revealed to Forbes Brazil in July 2023 that he knew he didn’t want to be a lawyer forever. Frangulis went on to become the founder of Oakberry in December 2016, a superfood brand that specialises in açaí products. The brand gained plenty of traction for its açaí bowls and smoothies. It also witnessed rapid expansion with over 700 stores across more than 40 nations. According to the People’s Magazine, Sabalenka became Oakberry’s brand ambassador in January 2024. The People’s Magazine reported that Frangulis is a motorsports enthusiast too and finished 128 races of the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge.
Aryna Sabalenka is a four-time Grand Slam winner
The 27-year-old is also a highly accomplished Tennis player, having won the Australian Open twice and US Open twice. Her latest Grand Slam win came in 2025 when she defeated Amanda Anisimova in a rematch of the Wimbledon semi-final. Sabalenka beat Anisimova in straight sets to win the title.
In the process, Sabalenka also became the first singles player to successfully defend her US Open title since Serena Williams won the 2014 edition. A two-time finalist in The Indian Wells Open, the youngster has never won the title, losing to Elena Rybakina in 2023 final and falling short against Mirra Andreeva in 2025.
