Team India fans were treated to a perfect game by Suryakumar Yadav and co. as they battered New Zealand by 96 runs in the T20 World Cup 2026 final against New Zealand at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. In what was a near-perfect campaign from the Men in Blue, it culminated in Team India flexing their batting muscles against the Kiwis to leave them overwhelmed. In pursuit of 256, New Zealand could manage only 159 in 19 overs.

But fans are also curious about when or whether a victory parade will take place.

Will Team India hold a victory parade?

There has been no official details yet regarding the victory parade but fans will be looking forward to the same as the Men in Blue created history. By clinching their third T20 World Cup title, the Asian Giants is now the only side to have more than two T20 World Cup crowns. Additionally, they have become the first team to defend it successfully and win the coveted trophy at home. As it happened in 2024, another massive bus parade is on the cards.

Mumbai could yet again host it as the financial capital of India did so from The Marine Drive to the Wankhede Stadium. According to reports, the Indian team is still in Ahmedabad but are likely to visit Delhi first to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The full details of the bus parade, should it take place will be announced in due course by Star Sports.

Sanju Samson and Jasprit Bumrah clinch Player of the Tournament and Player of the Match of the final

Both Sanju Samson and Jasprit Bumrah played starring roles in the final in Ahmedabad. The decision to draft Samson back into the side proved to be a masterstroke, given the struggles of Ishan Kishan and Abhishek Sharma against off-spin. But Samson’s return allowed the Men in Blue to shift the pressure back on to the position. The Kerala-born cricketer clattered 321 runs in five innings at 80.36.

Jasprit Bumrah, meanwhile, finished the 20-team tournament as the joint-highest wicket-taker with 14. The ace pacer took figures of 4-0-15-4 to earn the Player of the Match award.
