T20 World Cup 2026: Sanju Samson And Jasprit Bumrah Among 4 Indians In Team Of The Tournament | In Pics
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the team of the tournament for the recently-concluded T20 World Cup 2026. With the Men in Blue creating history by winning their third T20 World Cup title, four Indians have been named in the eleven, including a couple of hard-hitting batters.
Sahibzada Farhan.
Sahibzada Farhan finished the 20-team tournament as the leading run-getter, mustering 383 runs in six innings at 76.60. The explosive right-hander broke Virat Kohli's record of most runs in the tournament and is now the only batter to score two tons in a single T20 World Cup edition. (Credits: Sahibzada Farhan X)
Sanju Samson.

Ishan Kishan.
Ishan Kishan had a change of role midway through the tournament, dropping to No.3 from opening. But he transitioned into the role seamlessly, finishing with 317 runs in 9 innings and striking at 193.29. (Image Credits: BCCI X)
Aiden Markram.
South African captain Aiden Markram not only captained well but also batted exceptionally for his 286 runs in eight innings at 47.66. But their run ended in semi-finals at the hands of New Zealand. (Image Credits: Proteas Men X)
Hardik Pandya.
Team India all-rounder Hardik Pandya played a massive role in India's second consecutive T20 World Cup title, with his 217 runs coming at a strike rate of 160.74. With the ball, he claimed nine wickets in as many innings. (Image Credits: BCCI X)
Will Jacks
A seemingly spare batter and bowler, Will Jacks became an important cog in the wheel for England. In eight matches, he claimed 9 wickets and mustered 226 runs while keeping a strike rate of 176.56. (Image Credits: England Cricket X)
Jason Holder.
West Indies' towering all-rounder Jason Holder made only 141 runs in his five outings but it came at a strike rate of 174.07. Holder snared 10 scalps in seven games at 20.40 apiece. (Credits: Windies Cricket X)
Jasprit Bumrah
Team India's ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah continued to wreak havoc yet again, carrying off from T20 World Cup 2024. Bumrah finished the tournament as the joint-highest wicket-taker, claiming 14 wickets in eight games at 12.42 and clinched the Player of the Match award in the final. (Image Credits: BCCI X)
Lungi Ngidi
South Africa seamer Lungi Ngidi perhaps became the finest exponent of the dipping slower ball and it deceived even the best of the batters. The right-arm seamer took 12 wickets in seven games, averaging a mere 15.58 in South Africa's run to the semi-final. (Image Credits: Proteas Men X)
Adil Rashid
Seasoned England leggie Adil Rashid finished the marquee event as the second-highest wicket-taker among spinners with 13 scalps, behind Varun Chakravarthy, who snared 14. (Image Credits: England Cricket X)
Blessing Muzarabani
Zimbabwe's lanky seamer Blessing Muzarabani proved himself as one of the best pace bowlers in this tournament. Muzarabani used his height to great effect to generate disconcerted bounce and claimed 13 wickets in six games at 14.46 apiece. (Credits: Zimbabwe cricket X)
Shadley van Schalkwyk
South African-born Shadley van Schalkwyk would perhaps be no one's contender to be among the highest wicket-takers but proved highly incisive. In only four matches, he took 13 scalps to finish as the second-highest wicket-taker of the tournament and notably picked up two four-wicket hauls.
