BCCI Naman Awards 2026: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will host its annual awards night, Naman, on March 15 in New Delhi. The ceremony will celebrate the five Indian teams that won ICC trophies over the past year, as confirmed by BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia.
BCCI Announces Naman Awards 2026 to Celebrate T20 World Cup and Champions Trophy Victories
Naman will recognise India’s success across different formats and age groups. It will also honour top performers from both international and domestic cricket during the 2024/25 season.
“The BCCI Awards ceremony will take place on March 15 in New Delhi. We plan to invite all the ICC tournament winners, including the recent T20 World Cup champions, along with their coaches,” Saikia told IANS on Tuesday.
“This includes the senior men’s team, the senior women’s team, the U19 boys’ team, and the U19 girls’ team, who all won trophies in 2025,” he added.
The ceremony will be held at a five-star hotel near the airport in New Delhi to make it easier for the men’s team players, who will need to join their respective IPL franchises for pre-season camps starting on March 28.
Champions Trophy Winners Also to Be Honoured
Saikia confirmed that the 2025 Champions Trophy-winning squad will also be invited. “We will invite the members of the 2025 Champions Trophy-winning team as well. Thus, the awards night will celebrate the five ICC trophies won by various Indian teams over the past year, making it a memorable evening,” he added.
Record Cash Reward for T20 World Cup 2026 Winners
Earlier, the BCCI announced a cash reward of Rs 131 crore for the 2026 Men’s T20 World Cup-winning squad and support staff. This is an increase of Rs six crore from the prize money given to the 2024 Men’s T20 World Cup winners.
Regarding the prize distribution, Saikia said that further details will be shared soon. He also highlighted that the total reward of Rs 131 crore is unprecedented for any victorious Indian team, and that the support staff and selectors will benefit from it as well.
“Regarding the prize money breakdown for the 2026 Men’s T20 World Cup winning team, we’ll let you know soon. But the total amount of Rs 131 crore—this is an unprecedented amount given to any victorious Indian team by the BCCI. Apart from the winning team, all support staff and selectors will get this money too,” Saikia concluded.
