While Arshdeep Singh remained wicketless in the T20 World Cup 2026 final against New Zealand at the Narendra Modi Stadium, he did make it into the highlights. Bowling the 11th over of the second innings, the Indian pacer fired back a ball hit back towards him by Kiwi batter Daryl Mitchell. The ball went on to hit the right-handed batter on the thigh, and he was livid in his reaction.

Arshdeep was quick to offer a handshake and an apology once the over ended. He once again apologised to Mitchell following the completion of the clash. The Indian pacer was fined 15% of his match fee for a Level 1 breach of the ICC Code of Conduct.
