Protests have started once again for granting parole to Dera Sacha Sauda chief Ram Rahim. Jathedar of Shri Akal Takht Sahib Giani Raghbir Singh has expressed his objection on this. He has also reacted to the non-release of the captive Sikhs.
He has termed this move of the government as wrong and has called it an attempt to humiliate the Sikh community by repeatedly giving parole.
Giani Raghbir Singh released the video and said he has come to know that Dera Ram Rahim, who is in jail for murder and rape cases, has been given parole once again by the government and the entire Khalsa Panth has a strong objection. “Because this murderer is in jail, he is being given parole again and again.”
However, captive Sikhs have been in jail for 30-32 years, he said. They are not being given release by the governments in any way, he alleged. “Sikhs are being made to feel like slaves in India. Efforts are being made by the governments to humiliate us by giving it parole again and again. This is a complete violation of human rights. The government should immediately release the Sikhs who are in jails.”
