German company bullish on India

DB Schenker, a German conglomerate, has expressed optimism about the trajectory of the Indian economy.
It has had its presence in the Indian market since 1996, employing over 1,200 logistics professionals.
Company officials believe that India is going to play a key role in the global economic growth and that the success factor lies in the balance between local presence across geographies and uniform global standards.
The company is active in international air and ocean freight and domestic services as well as integrated logistics and global supply chain solutions, all of which are expected to register a strong growth in the coming period.
Other high potential fields, in the view of the company, are automotive, consumer, healthcare and high-tech industries.
Oliver Bohm, CEO of Schenker India Pvt. Ltd, who leads the team operating in India, expressed optimism about the company’s prospects in the country.
He says that after almost two decades of growth, performance and innovation in the Indian market, DB Schenker is focusing on strategic partnership with Indian and multinational organisations as a preferred logistics service provider.
