Gold And Silver Rates Today, 4 June: Gold touching ₹2 lakh per 10 grams is definitely one of those market ideas that grabs attention instantly, but it is not something expected to show up next week or even next quarter. Let’s just say it is more “long road trip destination” and less “quick weekend plan.” Experts still point to an overall upward trend in gold, with projections placing prices in the ₹1.5 lakh to ₹1.9 lakh range by 2026. That naturally puts the ₹2 lakh mark on the radar, but as a distant milestone, not an immediate stop. Right now, 24-karat gold in India is trading roughly between ₹1.54 lakh and ₹1.59 lakh per 10 grams, already reflecting global uncertainty, inflation worries, and steady safe-haven demand.

While institutional views do not rule out ₹2 lakh in the longer run, it remains a “may or may not” outcome depending on interest rates, global growth, and geopolitical twists. In short, gold is climbing, but the journey is still uneven, gradual, and full of market mood swings.

Gold Rates Today

Gold prices in India are still pretty high, and that keeps the precious metal kinda in the spotlight for both investors and people buying jewellery. The average rate for 24-karat gold is ₹15,273 per gram, and 22-karat gold is going for about ₹14,000 per gram. Even though there are these regular ups and downs in global markets, gold keeps pulling attention as a so-called safe-haven asset. Prices can shift a bit from city to city, mostly because of local taxes, transportation fees, and jeweller markups, so the number you see might not match exactly everywhere. And with geopolitical uncertainties hanging around, plus inflation worries still affecting market mood, a lot of buyers are watching gold rates very carefully before they decide on a new investment or even a fresh jewellery purchase.
