Samir Bodas is the entrepreneurial visionary and co-founder of Icertis, passed away on January 29, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer and his passing is a huge loss to the international world of enterprise software, where he had a huge impact on the way contract management is done.

Samir Bodas was unique in his role as a software executive and entrepreneur, who viewed contract intelligence in a unique light. As the co-founder and former CEO of Icertis, he believed that contracts are more than just legal documents but are instead valuable assets for a business and during his tenure as the CEO of Icertis, the company became a global leader in contract lifecycle management software.

He moved to the United States in 1982 to pursue higher education, earning a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin and  then he further honed his business acumen at the Wharton School, acquiring the skills to integrate technology with overall business strategy.

Bodas began his career as a software programmer at National Instruments and later shifted to Microsoft in 1992 to help the sales and marketing teams while he has also worked with various technology firms such as iMandi, Jamcracker and Disha Technology, where he has developed strong expertise in the areas of entrepreneurship, cloud computing and enterprise software.
