Indian benchmark indices, the Sensex and Nifty 50, snapped their two-day losing streak on Wednesday, supported by strong global market cues and easing crude oil prices, which lifted investor confidence. The Sensex gained 443.97 points (0.58%) to close at 76,922.64. During the session, the 30-share index surged as much as 631.41 points (0.82%) to reach an intraday high of 77,110.08. The Nifty 50 also ended higher, advancing 140.10 points (0.59%) to settle at 24,005.85.
JTL Industries
JTL Industries delivered a strong operational performance during the first quarter of FY27. The company reported sales volume of 1,18,513 metric tonnes (MT), marking an 18% year-on-year increase compared with 1,08,406 MT recorded in the same quarter last year.
According to the management, the growth was driven by healthy customer demand, better utilisation of production capacity at its Mangaon manufacturing facility, an improved product mix, and higher operational efficiency.
V2 Retail
V2 Retail reported an impressive financial performance for the first quarter of FY27. The company’s revenue increased 58% compared to the same period last year, supported by a 7.5% rise in same-store sales. Its monthly sales per square foot reached Rs 886. During the quarter, the retailer continued its expansion by opening 57 new stores while closing one outlet. This increased its total retail network to 381 stores.
NMDC
Government-owned mining company NMDC recorded strong production growth during June. Iron ore production rose 44% year-on-year to 5.15 million tonnes, mainly due to higher output from its Chhattisgarh mines. The company’s sales also improved, rising 11% from a year earlier to 3.98 million tonnes.
Canara Bank
Canara Bank reported healthy business growth in its June quarter operational update. Global deposits increased 11.7% year-on-year to Rs 16.13 lakh crore. Domestic deposits accounted for Rs 14.73 lakh crore of the total. Global advances grew 18% to Rs 12.93 lakh crore, while domestic advances stood at Rs 12.07 lakh crore. Domestic Retail, Agriculture and MSME (RAM) advances registered strong growth of 21.3% year-on-year, reaching Rs 7.65 lakh crore.
Ola Electric
Ola Electric continued to benefit from rising demand for electric vehicles in India. Based on official VAHAN registration data, the company registered 43,719 vehicles during the first quarter of FY27. This represents nearly double the 22,252 vehicle registrations recorded during the fourth quarter of FY26.
Coal India
Coal India secured a major renewable energy project after receiving a Letter of Award worth Rs 2,831.11 crore from Bundelkhand Saur Urja Limited. The project involves developing a 600 MW solar power plant at Jalaun Solar Park in Uttar Pradesh. It is expected to be completed within 18 months after the signing of the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).
Hero MotoCorp
Hero MotoCorp announced an investment plan worth more than Rs 3,200 crore in Andhra Pradesh. The investment includes the establishment of a Global Parts Centre at Tirupati with an investment of Rs 750 crore. The project is expected to create over 4,000 employment opportunities in the region.

Brainbees Solutions, the parent company of FirstCry, approved its participation in the proposed initial public offering (IPO) of its subsidiary, Swara Baby Products.
