UK Stock Market Today (July 16)

FTSE 100 Index fell to roughly 0.37% at 10,480 in initial trading as the rising military conflicts between the US and Iran affected market sentiment amid better-than-anticipated UK economy data. UK’s GDP rose by 0.1% on a monthly basis in May and the three-month growth rate stood at 0.7%, hitting the fastest pace in 13 months. At the same time, British pound declined 0.01% versus the US dollar to hit $1.3535 and Brent crude oil was down 0.4% to trade just under $85 per barrel.
