Akanksha Chamola has been on the show for quite a while, and after she left Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa, she has been getting talked about a lot. Meanwhile, Shreya Kalra seems to have moved ahead and basically won the trophy from the same show. In a post-elimination chat with Tejasswi, she touched on her journey a bit, also her personal life and, in a way, her sexuality. In the discussion, Akanksha reiterated her belief that sexuality is “a phase. She told the families the emotional, physical and mental shifts can make a person feel differently about relationships, but she currently doesn’t feel up to being in physical ones.

After clips from the interview went viral on X (formerly Twitter) and other social media platforms, a lot of users started criticizing Akanksha Chamola’s comments. In the responses, several people said they didn’t agree with what she said, that “sexuality is a phase.”



Many pointed out that sexual orientation isn’t something that just flips over time or vanishes like that. A few users also felt that kind of line could lead to confusion, especially when it gets shared on a public platform.

In the interview, Akanksha kind of stuck to what she said earlier, like, didn’t really shift her position, and that thing did spark more fresh criticism on social media. A lot of viewers felt her clarification just made everything more confusing, and it didn’t actually deal with the concerns people had put out. Some users also pointed out that personal emotions or relationship experiences aren’t the same as sexual orientation, and they seemed disappointed with her comments.

The whole controversy has also pulled even more focus back onto Akanksha Chamola’s personal journey on Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa. On the show, she mentioned that she and Gaurav Khanna were going through a separation, and she basically shared that their families only knew about it before she stepped into the reality series. Later, in one of those really intense emotional bits, fellow contestant Shreya Kalra brought up Akanksha’s bisexuality during an argument. That moment left Akanksha looking visibly upset, and it also kicked up a lot of chatter across social media and among viewers.
