Alia Bhatt’s Alpha is holding its ground at the box office. After witnessing a dip on its first Monday, the Yash Raj Films spy thriller managed to bounce back on Day 5 with a slight jump in collections.
According to Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 4.25 crore net in India on its first Tuesday. This new addition took the total India net collection to Rs 42.10 crore. The film was screened across 7,173 shows on Day 5 and recorded an overall occupancy of 19 percent.
Alpha Box Office Collection Day 5: A Positive Jump
Alpha had collected Rs 3.85 crore on its first Monday. This makes Tuesday’s Rs 4.25 crore collection a small but positive jump. With this, the film’s India gross collection now stands at Rs 50.23 crore.
The overseas market also continued to contribute to the film’s earnings. On Day 5 alone, Alpha collected Rs 1.50 crore overseas which has pushed the total international gross to Rs 19.80 crore.
Combining both domestic and international numbers, the film’s worldwide gross collection has now reached Rs 70.03 crore.
Here’s How Alpha Has Performed So Far
The film opened with Rs 9.25 crore on its first Friday before jumping to Rs 11.50 crore on Saturday, as per Sacnilk. Sunday turned out to be its biggest day so far with Rs 13.25 crore. Collections slowed on Monday with Rs 3.85 crore but Tuesday brought a slight recovery with Rs 4.25 crore.
Alpha Box Office Collection Day 5: Jaipur Leads Occupancy Charts
Among the major cities, Jaipur emerged as the strongest performer on Tuesday with an impressive 39.5 per cent overall occupancy. The city also recorded the highest night occupancy at 62 per cent.
The National Capital Region (NCR) followed with 30.3 per cent occupancy while Lucknow registered 25 per cent. Mumbai recorded 18.8 per cent, Pune stood at 18 per cent and Chennai reported 17.8 per cent occupancy.
Cities like Kolkata, Ahmedabad and Bengaluru stayed in the 13 to 15 per cent range while Surat and Hyderabad recorded comparatively lower occupancy.
