Emraan Hashmi’s Awarapan 2 is continuing its theatrical run with the pressure of living up to the legacy of the 2007 cult favourite. The sequel brought back Hashmi as Shivam Pandit after almost two decades. This has created considerable curiosity among fans of the original. The film got off to a strong start over its opening weekend, with collections seeing a notable jump on Saturday before easing on Sunday. Awarapan 2 Box Office Collection Day 4
Awarapan 2 opened its box office journey with Rs 22 crore on Friday and witnessed a strong jump on Saturday when it collected Rs 33.75 crore. The film then recorded Rs 26 crore on Sunday.
But the first Monday brought a significant drop in collections. On Day 4, Awarapan 2 collected Rs 9.25 crore net in India across 10,849 shows, according to Sacnilk. This represents a 64.4 per cent decline from Sunday’s Rs 26 crore collection. The film recorded an overall occupancy of 22 per cent on Monday.
Despite the drop, the film has managed to cross the Rs 90 crore mark in India within four days of its release. Its total India net collection now stands at Rs 91 crore, while the India gross collection has reached Rs 109.02 crore.
Awarapan 2 Worldwide Box Office Collection
Awarapan 2 has also been earning from international markets. The film collected Rs 2.50 crore overseas on Day 4 which took its total overseas gross collection to Rs 21.80 crore.
With the India gross collection at Rs 109.02 crore and the overseas gross standing at Rs 21.80 crore, the film’s worldwide gross collection has reached Rs 130.82 crore after four days.
