Batwara 1947 is making its presence felt at the box office as the period drama continues its theatrical run. The film, which takes audiences back to the turbulent period of Partition, has been drawing attention for its emotional take on a deeply significant chapter in Indian history. After completing its opening weekend in theatres, the film has now entered the crucial weekday phase.
Batwara 1947 Box Office Collection Day 4
According to Sacnilk, Batwara 1947 collected just Rs 2 crore net in India on Day 4 which was its first Monday. The film saw a 72.4 per cent drop from Sunday’s collection of Rs 7.25 crore.
The film recorded an overall 11 per cent occupancy across 6,771 shows on Monday. With this latest addition, Batwara 1947 has taken its total India net collection to Rs 28.50 crore. Its India gross collection currently stands at Rs 33.95 crore.
Batwara 1947 Total Box Office Collection
According to Sacnilk, Batwara 1947 has collected Rs 28.50 crore net in India after four days. The film opened with Rs 5.75 crore on Friday before recording its biggest day so far on Saturday with Rs 13.50 crore.
Sunday brought in another Rs 7.25 crore which took the opening weekend total to ₹26.50 crore net. The film then added Rs 2 crore on Monday.

Day 3: Rs 7.25 crore
Day 4: Rs 2 crore
Total India Net: Rs 28.50 crore
The film’s India gross collection has reached Rs 33.95 crore so far.
Batwara 1947 Worldwide Box Office Collection
Batwara 1947 has also earned from overseas markets. The film collected Rs 0.75 crore overseas on Day 4 which took its total overseas gross collection to Rs 6.25 crore.
With the India gross collection at Rs 33.95 crore and overseas gross at Rs 6.25 crore, the film’s worldwide gross collection has reached Rs 40.20 crore after four days.
What Is Batwara 1947 Plot?
The film is set against the backdrop of the 1947 Partition of India and focuses on the human impact of the upheaval that divided families and communities.
The story revolves around a Hindu woman who continues to live in her home in Lahore after Partition when a Mohajir family arrives and occupies the property.
The film is based on Asghar Wajahat’s acclaimed play Jis Lahore Nai Vekhya, O Jamya E Nai which also explores the human stories emerging from the Partition.
