The wait is finally over for Big Brother fans. CBS has officially unveiled the Season 28 cast by introducing 13 new houseguests who will compete for the grand prize in the long running reality competition. The contestants were revealed during the first ever Big Brother: Broveal, a live event that also gave viewers a first look inside the newly redesigned house ahead of the season premiere.
This year’s lineup brings together contestants from a wide range of professions and backgrounds such as a rocket scientist, an MMA fighter, an attorney, a drag queen, a telemedicine executive, a financial analyst and a corporate game show host.
For those unfamiliar with the format, Big Brother places a group of strangers inside a house where they are filmed around the clock. Throughout the season, the contestants compete in physical and mental challenges, form alliances, navigate betrayals and vote each other out until only one houseguest remains to claim the cash prize.
Big Brother Season 28: Meet The Cast
The 14 contestants entering the house this season are:
Ashley Trail, 24
Hailing from Alton, Illinois, Ashley now lives in Chicago and works as a bartender.
Barrett Pfeiffer, 27
Originally from Benton, Arkansas, Barrett is based in Austin, Texas, where he works as a Jumbotron engineer.
Chuk Anyanwu, 27
Hailing from Dallas, Texas, Chuk joins Big Brother Season 28 as a supply chain analyst, adding another strategic mind to this year’s lineup.
Drew Campbell, 22
The Temecula, California native works as a surgical dental assistant.
Haley Thogmartin, 29
A native of Neosho, Missouri, Haley currently lives in Wildwood and works as a telemedicine executive.
Jason De Puy, 35
Originally from San Francisco, Jason now lives in West Hollywood, California, and performs as a drag queen.
Kamuela “Kamu” Kirk, 32
Kamu is from Phoenix, Arizona, and competes professionally as an MMA fighter.
LaTrice Verrett, 57
The oldest contestant this season, LaTrice is originally from Kankakee, Illinois, and now lives in Maplewood, New Jersey, where she works as a boutique salesperson.
Lyric Medeiros, 25
Representing Honolulu, Hawaii, Lyric joins the competition as an attorney.
Mallory Aurichio, 24
From Township of Washington, New Jersey, Mallory works as a rocket scientist.
Melody Morris, 24
Originally from Thornton, Colorado, Melody now lives in Maricopa, Arizona, and works as a corporate game show host.
Rome Seymour, 28
Rome, who was born in Traverse City, Michigan, currently lives in Delray Beach, Florida, where he works as a pickleball coach.
Taylor Brown, 27
Taylor is from Deerfield Beach, Florida, and works as an elementary school counselor.
Yash Patel, 24
Representing Monroe Township, New Jersey, Yash works as a financial analyst.
Big Brother Season 28: When Does It Premiere?
Season 28 premieres with a 90-minute episode on July 9 at 8 PM ET (5:30 AM IST on July 10) on CBS. The companion aftershow, Big Brother: Unlocked, debuts on July 10 at 8 PM ET (5:30 AM IST on July 11), followed by another main episode on July 12 at 8 PM ET (5:30 AM IST on July 13).
Big Brother Season 28: What Is The Theme?
Season 28 will revolve around a theme called Time Trip. According to CBS, houseguests will enter a world inspired by different moments in history, with themed rooms, relics and competitions transporting players across various time periods. The network has also teased early twists along with new powers and challenges influenced by past decades.
