According to early trade estimates from Sacnilk, the Subash K. Raj directorial collected Rs 0.98 crore net in India on its second Wednesday. This marginal drop from Tuesday’s Rs 1.04 crore highlights a very stable weekday drop, bringing the film’s total domestic net collection to an impressive Rs 39.29 crore. Given its lean financial footprint, the film has cemented itself as a major silent hit of the season.

The core Tamil version remains the absolute frontrunner for Blast, contributing the vast majority of daily footfalls. On Wednesday, the film was screened across roughly 1,400 shows regionally, maintaining an average 18.42% theatre occupancy. Late evening and night shows spiked heavily, touching nearly 24.5% in urban micro-markets like Chennai and Coimbatore.
Interestingly, Kerala has emerged as the second-highest earning state for this action thriller. The state’s strong affinity for grounded, high-stakes family action has drawn immediate parallels to survival epics like RDX which pushed the Kerala gross alone past the Rs 7.5 crore mark during its run, completely outpacing the film’s underperforming Telugu dubbed version.

If we are to see the state wise contribution, it is no surprise that Tamil Nadu is the leading domestic territory with over 65% contribution. Surprisingly Kerala has performed significantly for the movie as it is second highest playground for the family action drama and if the reason is to be attributed, it is the strong word of mouth that is driving strong footfall in the state. Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have also performed for the film, but the contributions are rather single digits.

By keeping its domestic momentum afloat, the film has successfully scaled new heights in international markets as well. With the domestic net reaching Rs 39.29 crore, the corresponding Indian gross collection has surged past Rs 45.15 crore.
When paired with a solid Rs 13.60 crore hauled from overseas diaspora centres, Blast’s global box office cumulative total officially stands at Rs 58.75 crore gross. Trade circles expect the film to smoothly cross the Rs 60 crore worldwide gross threshold before entering its third weekend, where it faces a fresh wave of regional releases.
