Following her glamorous appearance at the French Riviera during the earlier part of the day, actress Alia Bhatt made another appearance at Cannes 2026 as she attended the Cannes Film Festival. Making an appearance at Cannes as a L’Oréal Paris ambassador, the actress gave an elegant appearance which also had subtle hints of India in it.
As far as her red carpet outfit is concerned, actress Alia was seen wearing a pastel-colored dress designed by Tamara Ralph. A strapless gown, the dress included a rounded bustier neckline with a corseted body which accentuated her body flawlessly. A dupatta-inspired drape complemented her ensemble perfectly and added some Indian elements to the dress.
Her appearance was further enhanced by the gemstone jewelry worn by her which was coordinated by stylist Rhea Kapoor.\

Even prior to her red carpet look, Alia Bhatt had created buzz with her Cannes daytime appearance. The actress was seen wearing a stunning outfit from designer Yash Patil.

According to the press release, “It was inspired by the iconic silhouettes of the 1950s, featuring a structured bodice with angular cups, a drop waist, and a voluminous skirt layered with ombre-dyed silk organza and tulle. The look seamlessly blends vintage couture with modern elegance.”
“Hand-painted by Basuri Chokshi (@basuri) as an ode to the French Riviera, the artwork captures its dreamy landscapes, lavender fields, and timeless romance, transforming the ensemble into a wearable piece of art,” the statement read.
Cannes 2026 marks Alia Bhatt’s second appearance at the prestigious festival. She made her debut in 2025 with a custom Gucci outfit inspired by the traditional sari, which became one of the most talked-about fashion moments of the event.
This year’s Cannes Film Festival is expected to feature a strong Indian presence across cinema and entertainment industries. According to ANI, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will also attend the festival once again as a global ambassador for L’Oréal Paris.
Filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker is set to attend as part of India’s official delegation in his role as director of the International Film Festival of India. Along with them, filmmaker Karan Johar and actors Tara Sutaria, Mouni Roy, and Pooja Batra are also expected to be present at the global event.
The Cannes Film Festival 2026 will be held in France from May 12 to May 23.
