Lakshya and Ananya Panday’s romantic drama Chand Mera Dil has completed 12 days in theatres and is still keeping up a steady pace at the box office, somehow. Directed by Vivek Soni, the film has managed to stay in the game even with the usual dip in collections that shows up during weekdays. By the end of its second Tuesday, the movie’s worldwide gross collection was around ₹34.90 crore, and it’s honestly just a couple of lakhs away from that ₹35 crore milestone. With the same kind of momentum continuing, the makers seem kind of hopeful that it will cross the mark very soon.

Chand Mera Dil Weekday Slowdown Continues Despite Steady Box Office Presence

As expected, Chand Mera Dil did seem a bit slower in its second week, mainly because weekday footfalls kind of dipped, you know. On Day 12, the movie pulled in about ₹1 crore net at the Indian box office, and that pushed its total India net collection to ₹26.30 crore. Now its domestic gross sits at around ₹31.05 crore. Although the crowd was still fairly thin in the morning and afternoon shows, the film kept drawing people for the evening and night screenings, which is why it managed a steadier sort of run even with the usual weekday decline.

Lakshya and Ananya Panday’s Romantic Drama, Chand Mera Dil Holds Ground in Second Week

One big reason the film kept doing well at the box office is really the strong showing from its lead pair, like they never fade. Lakshya gives Aarav a kind of depth and quiet sincerity; he’s a young guy stuck with heartbreak, regret, and this ongoing self discovery thing. Meanwhile, Ananya Panday comes through as Chandni, with a grounded vibe and an emotionally tuned performance that lands. Also, the way the movie looks at college sweethearts trying to juggle love with the day-to-day realities of grown-up life really clicked, especially with younger audiences in cities.

Chand Mera Dil Mixed Reviews, But Audience Support Keeps Collections Tions Ticking

Even though Chand Mera Dil got mixed reviews from critics when it first came out in theatres, audiences still kept showing up and, well, you know, kind of supporting it. There’s also this positive word of mouth that has kept things going at a steady sort of pace even in the second week. The film has done reasonably well overseas too, and it made about ₹3.85 crore in international markets. That extra revenue has actually helped push up the overall box office totals, so it offset the usual expected dip in domestic collections during weekdays.

Can the Film Chand Mera Dil Cross the ₹35 Crore Mark Before Week 2 Ends?

Now that its third week is pretty much right there at the corner, Chand Mera Dil is gearing up to go beyond the ₹35 crore mark globally, and it looks like it only needs under ₹10 lakh more. While hitting that number seems pretty much certain at this stage, the real task is going to be keeping the momentum going in the days ahead. With new releases all set to arrive in theatres, it is still unclear how well the film will manage to stick around and whether it can push its India net total beyond ₹30 crore.
