Connor Murphy, a fitness YouTuber known for his bodybuilding and looksmaxxing content, has reportedly died in Thailand at the age of 32. Murphy was seen displaying unusual behaviour before the incident, according to a report by ThaiRath.
The outlet mentioned a village employee recorded Murphy offering money to a driver, approaching another person’s car, shouting loudly, rolling on the road and making praying gestures.
What Happened?
According to ThaiRath, emergency responders were called to a luxury residential area in the Bang Phli district of Samut Prakan province at around 3 PM local time on July 7 after receiving reports that a foreign man was “acting erratically” and had entered a lake.
The outlet reported that when police reached the area, Murphy ran into the residential village before entering the lake. Witnesses told ThaiRath that he continued swimming until he became exhausted and disappeared in water believed to be more than 10 metres deep. Rescue divers searched for about 30 minutes before recovering his body around 20 metres from the shore.
Officials reportedly found no visible signs of assault during the initial examination. According to ThaiRath, the body has been sent for an autopsy and toxicology tests, while the US Embassy is expected to be informed.
Connor Murphy’s Death: Investigation Continues
As authorities continue their investigation, ThaiRath reported that the rented lakefront property where Murphy had been staying was found with paint spread across furniture and household appliances.
The outlet also claimed that investigators recovered two unused syringes from Murphy’s vehicle along with unidentified white pills found inside a waist bag. But officials have not linked these items to Murphy’s death. The exact cause of death remains unknown with autopsy and toxicology results still pending.
Connor Murphy’s Girlfriend Reacts
Amid the ongoing investigation, ThaiRath also spoke to a 22-year-old woman identified as Murphy’s girlfriend. According to the outlet, the couple had been together for around three years but had spent some time living apart because of lifestyle differences before reuniting less than three months before the incident.
She told ThaiRath that she had never seen Murphy use drugs and could not explain what may have caused his unusual behaviour on the day of the incident.
Tony Huge Shares His Memories
Bodybuilder and biohacking personality Tony Huge, who said he had recently spent time with Murphy in Thailand, shared a video after news of the incident began circulating.
According to Huge, he had last met Murphy around 10 or 11 days earlier and had spoken to him shortly before his death. He said Murphy had been excited about upcoming projects and added, “He certainly wasn’t depressed.”
Huge also claimed that Murphy had been working on his golf game and creating content with younger fitness influencers in Bangkok. He further alleged that Murphy had been experimenting with gold injections. But these claims have not been confirmed by Thai authorities who have not identified any substance or medical condition as the cause of Murphy’s death. Officials have said the investigation remains ongoing pending examination results.
