Pixar officially previewed Coco 2, with the sequel scheduled to release in November 2029. The new film will feature a teenage Miguel, while Benjamin Bratt is returning as Ernesto de la Cruz.
The character’s return is particularly intriguing because Ernesto was the antagonist of the original Coco. The D23 presentation teased that he could once again play an important role in Miguel’s story.

The announcements extended well beyond Marvel and Pixar. Disney revealed updates for several major franchises, including Star Wars: Ahsoka Season 2 and Star Wars: Starfighter, starring Ryan Gosling.
