“DC” is staying pretty much level at the box office on Day 6 after it pushed past the Rs 50 crore threshold. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the movie has sort of managed to keep a decent momentum even as it slips into the weekday stretch of its first week. And, like most releases, the collections did soften after that initial opening rush, because everyday footfalls are typically a bit lower. Still, it has avoided any big kind of fall, and it keeps pulling in viewers.

Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Film Continues Its Theatrical Run After Rs 50 Crore Haul

Lokesh Kanagaraj’s ‘DC’ has already crossed the Rs 50 crore mark, which gives the film a pretty solid start at the box office. The early numbers suggest the movie somehow managed to pull in audiences from day one, aided by the buzz around its release and, of course, the director’s own popularity. Once the first week starts to end, then steady collections on weekdays will matter a lot if ‘DC’ wants to build up a stronger overall run.

DC Keeps Its Momentum Intact Despite The Weekday Slowdown

Weekdays can be a bit awkward for a movie, especially after a really solid opening weekend when the crowd numbers usually start to slide. Still, ‘DC’ has somehow kept things steady, no big fall in the collections or anything like that. That steadiness really matters, because it gives the film a chance to stack up a better first week total. It’s already moved past the Rs 50 crore mark, so it has a good foundation. Also, the Day 6 performance suggests people are still keen.

Film Eyes Stronger Collections As It Approaches The End Of Week 1

As ‘DC’ gets close to the last bit of its first week in theaters, everybody is watching to see what it does over the coming weekend. The movie has already crossed the Rs 50 crore line and somehow still looked steady on Day 6, which means it might be able to tack on more to the full collection. If people keep showing up in the theatres at higher numbers during the weekend, that could nudge its figures upward again, and yeah, audience interest really matters here. Lokesh Kanagaraj’s film will now try to stay on that same rhythm, so it can finish the first week with a solid kind of ending.
