Margaret Qualley and Jack Antonoff are reportedly going through a rough patch in their marriage. The couple has separated just months before celebrating their third wedding anniversary.
While neither Qualley nor Antonoff has addressed the reports publicly, sources close to them told People that their relationship has hit a difficult phase.
One insider described the marriage as “rocky” while another said the pair are currently “figuring things out” rather than making any permanent decisions.

The split reports surfaced just days after Jack Antonoff attended Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s July 3 wedding without Margaret Qualley. Instead, the music producer was accompanied by his sister, fashion designer Rachel Antonoff.
The timing quickly caught fans’ attention, especially as Qualley’s absence from the high-profile celebration fuelled speculation about the couple’s relationship. At the same time, both stars have been busy with work, with Antonoff touring alongside Bleachers and Qualley preparing for her upcoming horror film, Possession.
A Romance That Began In 2021
Qualley and Antonoff first sparked dating rumours in August 2021 after they were spotted sharing a kiss during a date in Brooklyn. They made their relationship public the following year by appearing together at the AFI Awards Luncheon where Qualley was supporting her Netflix series Maid.
The couple confirmed their romance on Instagram in March 2022 and just a few months later, news of their engagement made headlines.
A Star-Studded Wedding Celebration
The pair tied the knot in August 2023 during a lavish wedding ceremony in New Jersey that brought together several famous faces. Guests included Taylor Swift, Channing Tatum, Zoë Kravitz, Cara Delevingne and Lana Del Rey.
Jack Antonoff Once Said He Knew She Was ‘The One’
Earlier this year, Antonoff looked back on how their love story began during an appearance on The Howard Stern Show. He revealed that he knew Qualley was the woman he wanted to marry almost instantly after meeting her at a party in 2021.
“I saw her and it was like a f***ing Hallmark movie that doesn’t seem believable. When I met her, I started imagining things that I’d never even imagined, like marriage,” he said in the interview.
Antonoff also shared that he proposed while they were living in Paris and had called Qualley’s sister, Rainey Qualley, to ask for her blessing before popping the question.
Margaret Qualley Called Him ‘My Person’
Qualley had also spoken warmly about Antonoff before their wedding. During an interview with Harper’s Bazaar in 2023, she described him as “my person” and shared how happy she was to have found someone she wanted to build a life with.
The actress admitted that before meeting Antonoff, she barely cared about creating a home because she was focused entirely on her career. Being with him changed her perspective and made her excited about building a future together. She also said that while she hoped to have children one day, she wanted to continue focusing on films before starting a family.
A Relationship Celebrated By Friends
Antonoff’s close friend and longtime collaborator Lana Del Rey even paid tribute to the couple through her 2023 song Margaret which was inspired by Qualley and featured Bleachers. The singer later revealed that watching Antonoff’s love for Qualley played a part in her own decision to wait for the right person before getting married.
Despite the recent reports, neither Qualley nor Antonoff has officially commented on their relationship status.
