Salman Khan is once again trending online, this time over a cryptic statement that many social media users believe may have been aimed at Dhurandhar The Revenge. The buzz started after a clip from one of Salman’s recent interviews began circulating across fan pages and discussion forums. In the now-viral video, the actor can be heard saying, “If you really, really like something, then you should go ahead and do it. But it has to be that your morals should be morally, ethically, and emotionally correct. And now, politically.”

While the statement appeared broad and philosophical on the surface, several users online quickly began connecting it to recent debates surrounding Dhurandhar and the political conversations attached to the film.

As of now, Salman has not named the film, its cast or makers anywhere in the clip. Still, that hasn’t stopped the internet from dissecting every word.

Why do fans think the comment was about ‘Dhurandhar’

Over the past few months, Dhurandhar The Revenge has remained one of the most talked-about Bollywood releases online, not just because of its box office success but also due to conversations around its themes, dialogues and political undertones. The film has frequently sparked heated debates across X, Reddit and entertainment forums, where viewers have argued over whether the action drama carries ideological messaging beneath its commercial setup.

That context is precisely why Salman’s use of the phrase “politically correct” immediately grabbed attention online. Some users claimed the actor was indirectly commenting on the growing trend of politically charged mainstream cinema, while others dismissed the theory as pure overanalysis by fans.

Several Reddit threads and fan discussions have since gone viral, with opinions sharply divided over whether the statement was intentional shade or simply a generic life observation.

Salman Khan is no stranger to viral interview moments

This is far from the first time Salman Khan has gone viral for an off-the-cuff remark. Over the years, the actor’s interviews and public statements have frequently sparked headlines, memes and online debates. From controversial comments to candid industry observations, Salman’s unfiltered style has often kept him in the news cycle.

Because of that history, fans are now increasingly reading between the lines whenever the actor makes philosophical or politically loaded comments in public appearances. However, there is currently no evidence confirming that the latest statement was directed at Dhurandhar specifically.

‘Dhurandhar’ continues dominating conversations online

Directed by Aditya Dhar and fronted by Ranveer Singh, Dhurandhar The Revenge has emerged as one of 2026’s biggest commercial successes. The film recently crossed the Rs. 1215 crore mark at the India-tracked box office and continues to maintain strong online engagement even weeks after release.

Interestingly, alongside the film’s commercial success, its political interpretation has become a recurring topic on social media, something that may explain why Salman’s latest interview clip has suddenly found itself pulled into the conversation. For now, though, the “troll” theory remains fan speculation rather than confirmed fact.
