Vijay Salgaonkar is back and escaping the law is about to get a lot harder. The trailer of Drishyam: The Conclusion has arrived which brings back Ajay Devgn as the man who has repeatedly relied on his sharp mind and elaborate planning to keep his family out of trouble. But the third chapter is clearly raising the stakes as Vijay now faces new investigators who appear determined to break through the story he has so carefully constructed.

The new trailer brings back the familiar conflict between Vijay and Tabu’s Meera Deshmukh, while introducing two formidable new players into the equation.

Drishyam 3 Trailer: Tabu Returns, Jaideep Ahlawat Enters The Picture

Drishyam: The Conclusion’s trailer was unveiled in Panjim, Goa, a location closely connected with the world of the story.

The nearly three-minute trailer wastes little time reminding viewers that Meera Deshmukh has not given up. Tabu’s character is still consumed by the death of her son and remains determined to get to the bottom of what happened.

But Vijay is no longer dealing with the same opposition. Prakash Raj’s character seems to recognise that dismissing Vijay simply because of his modest background could be a serious mistake. His warning in the trailer says: “Unpadh hai, bewakoof nahi. Esko halke mein lene ki galti nahi karunga mai.”

That attitude becomes even more important with the arrival of Jaideep Ahlawat’s Crime Branch officer. Unlike the investigators Vijay has encountered before, Ahlawat’s character enters the story with a distinctly intimidating presence and seems confident that he can corner the Salgaonkar family.

He makes his intentions clear with: “Mai aadmi nahi, shani hu. Jis par tedhi nazar pad gayi na, samjho uska kharab time shuru.”

Vijay Salgaonkar Has A Bigger Problem This Time

The biggest takeaway from the trailer is that Vijay’s old game may not be enough anymore. The authorities appear to have something far more substantial this time with the trailer hinting at “bigger evidence” connected to the case.

That puts Vijay in a familiar but far more dangerous situation. Once again, he has to protect his family while making sure the truth doesn’t catch up with them.

But the question this time is whether Vijay can actually stay ahead of everyone.

Meera has unfinished business. A determined Crime Branch officer is now on his trail. And with Prakash Raj’s character also appearing to understand the kind of opponent Vijay can be, the Salgaonkar family’s carefully protected secret could face its toughest test yet.

Drishyam 3 Cast: Who Is Returning And Who Is New?

Ajay Devgn will reprise his much-loved role as Vijay Salgaonkar while Tabu returns as Meera Deshmukh. Sriya Saran is also back in the franchise as she reprises her role from the earlier films.

Ishita Dutta is also back as Anju Salgaonkar, Vijay and Nandini’s daughter. Another familiar face returning to the franchise is Rajat Kapoor, who has played Inspector Gaitonde since the earlier instalments.

The third installment brings in two major additions to the cast: Jaideep Ahlawat and Prakash Raj.  Backed by Star Studio18 and Panorama Studios, Drishyam: The Conclusion is directed by Abhishek Pathak.

Drishyam: The Conclusion will release in theatres on October 2.
