Dylan Sprouse and Barbara Palvin have shared another sweet milestone from their journey to parenthood. Just weeks after announcing that they are expecting their first child together, the couple has now revealed whether they are having a baby boy or a girl.
The big reveal came during the debut episode of Sprouse’s new podcast Wildmen where the couple also opened up about baby names, becoming first-time parents and why one particular nickname has already stuck.
It’s A Baby Girl!
During the episode, Barbara invited her husband to share the exciting news with listeners.
“Do you want to share?” Palvin asked.
Sprouse happily took over, saying, “Yeah, we’ve been calling her principessa,” before explaining the meaning behind the nickname. “Which I don’t know why that’s been our like…well, it’s Italian for princess.”
He then officially confirmed the news, saying, “But no, we are having a baby girl, which I’m very excited about. I’m excited to be a girl dad, actually.”

According to Palvin, welcoming a daughter is going to bring out a softer side of Sprouse.
“You’re going to be so stressed about the princess,” she joked.
But Sprouse seemed more than ready for the challenge, replying, “I just also unironically love a tea party.”
Palvin joked, “He loves a high tea.”
The couple also shared that they are still deciding on a name for their little one and are “back and forth” on what they will eventually call their “principessa.”
Dylan Sprouse And Barbara Palvin Announced Their Pregnancy In May
Sprouse and Palvin first shared their pregnancy news while attending the 79th Annual Cannes Film Festival in France in May.
The couple posed together on the red carpet with Palvin cradling her baby bump in a light blue gown. Sprouse stood beside her in a classic tuxedo with his arm wrapped around her.
The announcement marked another major chapter for the couple who first met at a party in 2017 before beginning their relationship in 2018.
In an interview with Vogue Australia later that year, Palvin couldn’t hide how she felt about the actor.
“I feel like I found the perfect guy. He’s very kind and gentle,” she said.
The pair got engaged in June 2023 before tying the knot a month later in Hungary.
