The race to television’s biggest prize has officially begun. The nominations for the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards were unveiled on Wednesday and this year’s list has everything fans could ask for.
Leading the pack is The Pitt with an impressive 25 nominations which makes it the most nominated show this year. Right behind it is the final season of Hacks which picked up 24 nominations and created a new record for the most nominations ever earned by a comedy series in a single season. Apple TV also had a reason to celebrate as Widow’s Bay and Pluribus scored big while Netflix’s Beef continued its award season dominance.

Several other fan favourites also had a strong showing, including DTF St. Louis (13), Spider-Noir (11), Slow Horses, Shrinking, Fallout and A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms (9 each). Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The Final Show also picked up five nominations while Saturday Night Live scored 11 nods.

When Are The Emmy Awards?
The 78th Primetime Emmy Awards will take place on September 14 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. The ceremony will be hosted by Mariska Hargitay and will air on a Monday instead of the usual Sunday because of an NFL broadcast.
